ATTENTION YARD/GARAGE SALE PEOPLE

Another way of scamming has been brought to our attention:
Individuals purchase items from yard/garage sales with counterfeit bills. Obviously if someone gives you a $100 or a $50 bill for an item that costs $0.50 or even $3.00 something is fishy; but they also have counterfeits that are $1 $5 $10 and $20 dollar bills. Be careful.
You do not have to spend hundreds of dollars to buy an electronic device to check the bills like most retailers do. Just go to office depot, staples etc… and buy a marker that checks the bills.
This also applies to business conducted with cash from craigslist.
